Following the success of Part 1, where we defined and understood IKIGAI – the Japanese philosophy of finding "a reason to wake up each morning" – Part 2 opens with explosive moments of practice and profound sharing. This training session will not only be theoretical but will also include practical experiences, helping participants discover valuable points of convergence within themselves.
Find the IKIGAI of the team members
The highlight of Session 2 was the group activity and experience sharing. Instead of searching for IKIGAI in solitude, the members had the opportunity to learn about a colleague's IKIGAI within the group, and then together analyze and present it in detail.
Not only does it bring a spirit of teamwork, but it also brings many profound values.
Help members realize that IKIGAI is not just an abstract philosophical concept, but rather the real, vibrant, and inspiring stories of the team members.
Through listening to and analyzing the IKIGAI stories of colleagues, each member also has a valuable opportunity to reflect on themselves deeply, thereby realizing their strengths and the aspects that need to be cultivated in the journey of shaping their own purpose in life.
This is also a valuable opportunity for selected members to reflect on themselves through the objective lens of their teammates, to better identify their strengths and weaknesses, and from there, to cultivate and refine their IKIGAI path.
Absolute victory
With a highly convincing presentation that demonstrated a deep analysis of the meaning of life, Mr. Hợi's team excelled in winning the overall victory. After a thorough evaluation process by the training participants and the final decision from Ms. Thu Hiền, Ms. Thảo's presentation on Mr. Hợi's IKIGAI model captivated everyone. The particularly outstanding point is that this model not only fully meets the criteria of IKIGAI but also vividly illustrates Mr. Hợi's passion and absolute priority for his family, showing that he is a successful role model in balancing a busy work life and personal life.
The award for the best performer
In addition to the group awards, a special prize was awarded to the individual with the most outstanding presentation style. The quick consensus named Ms. Uyen. Thanks to her expressive and clear voice, as well as her ability to master emotions, she successfully connected strongly with the audience, turning the presentation into a memorable experience. The recognition from all members when Ms. Uyen received the prize proved that she left the deepest impression on the hearts of the attendees.
Discussion about IKIGAI
Mr. Kac has made a sharp observation, pointing out that the majority of people today are stuck at the intersection of "Profession" in the IKIGAI model. Although they do not truly love or excel at that job, they still choose it because this intersection meets two core factors: earning an income and being something that the world needs.
Ms. Hien also emphasized that many people are currently in a "Passion" state; they work because they enjoy it and do well, but they lack balance. There are many factors that lead them into a "danger zone" when they only pursue their interests and personal skills while overlooking the aspects of the world that require payment or the services that the world needs. This leads to a lack of sustainability and serious financial and social consequences in the long run. This analysis further reinforces the importance of seeking the perfect intersection rather than just accepting half-hearted intersections.
Concluding her valuable sharing, Ms. Hien continued to convey a powerful and inspiring message. She encouraged everyone to persist in seeking and fully living their own IKIGAI, while emphasizing that finding IKIGAI is not an immediate destination, but a lifelong process of refinement and continuous action. She hopes that all RIDE members will apply this knowledge and these tools in practice, turning the philosophy of life into a sustainable source of energy to overcome all challenges. Indeed, IKIGAI is the only path that leads to true happiness, lasting success, and a deeply meaningful life.
