The first day of the training course will take place on the morning of June 2, 2025, with an opening session attended by representatives from the SECO and NORAD sponsors, as well as representatives from the International Labour Organization (ILO).
At the beginning of the opening ceremony for the training course "AI Application Consulting Expert," Dr. Tran Nguyen Cac, Director of the RIDE Institute, delivered a warm welcoming speech to the trainees and delegates.
Dr. Trần Nguyên Các emphasizes the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) in businesses, especially in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. According to Dr. Trần Nguyên Các, this training course is not only aimed at enhancing the capabilities of consultants but also contributes to promoting the digital transformation process in businesses, building sustainable productivity ecosystems.
Next, Ms. Ingrid Christensen, the ILO Country Director in Vietnam, delivered the opening speech. She expressed her joy that the training course was being implemented as part of an international project, while also affirming the important role of training high-quality human resources. She emphasized that the application of AI technology in businesses not only helps enhance productivity but also protects the welfare of workers.

Representatives from the sponsoring organizations, Mr. Andri Meier, Deputy Head of the Development Cooperation Section of the Swiss Embassy in Vietnam, and Mr. Erlend Skutlaberg, First Secretary of the Norwegian Embassy in Hanoi, made statements sharing the commitment of their countries to support the application of AI. These countries expressed their determination to contribute to the sustainable development of the region and the economy by promoting the application of AI in businesses.

During the opening session, Ms. Mun Na Eun, Project Officer of PE4DW (ILO), also shared profound insights on the design direction of the training program: it is not merely about transferring knowledge, but about building the capacity for thinking and practicing AI application consulting in a real business environment.

According to her, the course is part of a long-term effort of the project aimed at creating a human-centered productivity ecosystem, where technology is implemented not only for efficiency but also for sustainability and inclusivity. The teaching method is designed based on output competencies, integrating theory, practical situations, critical discussions, and group practice – in order to create consulting experts capable of "translating" AI into the operational language of Vietnamese businesses.

The training course "AI Application Consulting Expert in Enterprises" was successfully held in Hanoi from June 2 to June 5, 2025, with the participation of 35 consultants working in the fields of business management, productivity, quality, and digital transformation.

The course program focuses on human-centered AI applications, aiming to optimize business operations while enhancing the experience and welfare of employees. Participants are updated on the latest AI trends and develop consulting skills to harmonize the interests of both businesses and workers. Throughout the 4-day course, participants are equipped with knowledge ranging from optimizing work processes and improving product quality to applying AI in human resources, sustainable development, and ensuring workplace safety.
The course not only focuses on theory but also incorporates practical activities such as group discussions, case studies, and hands-on exercises, helping students understand how to apply AI in real-world business situations. The training program has successfully achieved its goals, not only equipping students with effective consulting tools and strategies but also creating opportunities for connections between experts and businesses, fostering collaboration and development in the fields of AI and digital transformation.

Awarding certificates to graduating students
After the training course, the 10 best consultants from the TOT course will be selected to move on to the practical consulting phase at 5 model enterprises. Here, the consultants will have the opportunity to directly apply the knowledge they have learned, provide consulting, implement, and support the application of AI in the actual business activities of the enterprises. The process will include everything from assessing needs to implementing solutions and measuring the effectiveness of AI applications in the business environment. This phase not only helps the consultants reinforce their knowledge but also creates real and sustainable changes in the participating enterprises.
The training course is not only an opportunity for participants to access new knowledge about AI but also an important step in improving and developing the capabilities of businesses in Vietnam.
