Survey of actual business operations and implementation of AI Vision technology for Osaka Seimitsu factory.

In the context of the global industrial landscape undergoing a strong digital transformation, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in monitoring and controlling production quality has become an inevitable trend. To meet this need, RIDE, acting as the coordinator, collaborated with Osaka Seimitsu factory and Vision AI Tech – one of the leading providers of AI Vision solutions – to organize the first AI Vision technology demo test at the Osaka Seimitsu factory in Thuong Tin, Hanoi on September 11, 2025.

Osaka Seimitsu Factory - A Trusted Partner in Machining

Osaka Seimitsu is a company specializing in mold manufacturing and precision machining. With a modern machinery system and a quality management process that meets IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 standards, the factory supplies plastic molds, casting molds, metal parts, and mechanical components to numerous domestic and international partners.
The factory's use of AI Vision in its production line will help Osaka Seimitsu improve the accuracy of product quality inspection, detecting micro-defects more quickly and consistently than manual methods. This will be a significant step in the transition to a smart factory, contributing to increased productivity, reduced costs, and strengthening Osaka Seimitsu's position in the precision machining market.

AI Vision - A Powerful Assistant for Businesses

In the context of modern manufacturing, the demand for automated quality control and high precision is extremely urgent. AI Vision has emerged as a breakthrough solution, using industrial cameras and AI to detect surface defects in products in real-time. This technology not only alleviates manual labor but also plays a key role in the digital transformation of factories.

Let's explore the operating principles of AI Wallet technology

Hardware (camera & specialized lighting)

High-resolution industrial camera combined with a lighting system helps capture detailed images of the product.

Software (AI & computer vision)

The images are analyzed using computer vision algorithms and deep learning models. AI is trained with thousands of standard and defective product samples, learning how to classify and assist with errors.

Operating mechanism

As the product moves through the production line, cameras take pictures, AI analyzes them within milliseconds, and makes a decision of "Pass" or "Fail." The system can automatically remove defective products from the line, creating a dual process.

Explore the implementation process at the factory

In the first demo test, AI Vision was directly integrated into the production line. Experts from RIDE took on the role of strategic consultants, accompanying the business throughout the application of the solution as well as supporting Vision AI Tech during the testing process.

Initial results

Although it is only a trial phase, AI Vision has achieved many positive results:

  • Accuracy: The average error detection rate exceeded expectations compared to the initial plan set.
  • Processing speed: Minimize the entire inspection process compared to before, optimizing manpower compared to the past.
  • Financial efficiency: The estimated return on investment (ROI) is low, helping businesses improve product quality.

This result not only confirms the effectiveness of AI Vision technology but also demonstrates the feasibility of applying the first AI demo test in large-scale industrial production.

The journey of AI Vision at the factory has officially begun

The demo at Osaka Seimitsu is just the beginning. The system will continue to be refined by RIDE in collaboration with the factory's technical team during Phase 2 R&D, aiming to enhance the ability to detect subtle defects, optimize image recognition performance, and ensure absolute accuracy in product quality inspection.

From its coordinating role, RIDE recognizes that the AI Vision project at Osaka Seimitsu is not just a simple technology application, but also a shift in mindset: from manual control to AI-based intelligent monitoring. RIDE is committed to continuing to accompany businesses on their journey to apply AI in production practices, transforming technology into a tool for sustainable and long-term development.
