Research Institute of Digital organisation and Economy (RIDE) traces its root back to Institute for training and research of organisation and administration established in 2004 by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA).

RIDE, as its name indicated, exists to support organisation ride the digital wave. Its founders have outstanding track records working in the ICT sector (Information Communication Technology) in the US and EU. 

Its mission is to introduce the digital ingredients into the success recipe of fast-growing Vietnamese organisations and economy. 

The mission is advanced by doing training courses, consultation, and technical assistances to institutional clients ranging from businesses to state agencies. RIDE also consults digital service providers on strategy and feature development.

RIDE believes most organisations struggle with digital transformation because they think technology alone can solve their business challenges. In fact, there are issues such as organisational friction, poor psychological security, cognitive overload, a lack of empowerment and autonomy, or ineffective governance and process that need to be also addressed. Organisations may succeed at adopting a new technology but fail to see the expected return on investment because of the unaddressed socio-technical challenges. We see digital transformation as a tool and not a purpose for organisations.
